  My name is Lin, Er-ya. There are three members in my family. My father is a worker at a company in Tainan. He is a cautious person, and he is a man of his word. I learn from him that I have to treat other people cordial and be a responsible person. My mother is a career woman. She works at a department store in Tainan. Since I had been a little child, she taught me that it’s all right if I do something wrong, but the most important thing is that I have to admit my mistake honestly and correct it. Moreover, I’m born in a double-income family and I don’t have any brother or sister, so I learn to be independent at an early age. As to my schoolwork, my parents never put too much pressure on me. They just hope that I can try my best in my studies. Therefore, in the process of learning, I can develop freely and find my interests.

School Life

 I study at Applied Foreign Language in National Tainan Commercial Vocational Senior High School. My classmates and teachers are nice so I have a wonderful high school life. Since I have majored in English, I have to memorize English vocabulary and English sentences every day. Though sometimes I have a lot of homework to do and feel very tired, I still can find pleasure in it.
  In addition to the textbooks, I also read English magazines or listen to English songs to improve my English ability. Moreover, our teacher often encourages us to practice English with each other; therefore, we make a good progress in speaking English. With her encouragement, many of my classmates and I had passed the intermediate level of General English Proficiency Test. Now, I'm going to try the higher level of GEPT. To reach the goal, I will study harder.
  Though we have to study all day long, we have many activities in the school. The major one is intramural ball games. To win the game, we practice volleyball after school every day. Notwithstanding we didn't play very well at first, we never give up. By keeping practicing, now we play better than we did a year ago and even won the second prize in the intramural ball games. Besides, I also learn one thing from the process that no matter what we do, we shouldn't give up easily, and the way to reach our goal is just to try our best.
  I like my high school life very much, and most important of all, I really enjoy the time studying and playing with my classmates. I think I will remember these happy days even I graduate from high school.

I am Tao. My English name is Angela. I am 17 years old. I am from Taipei First Girls' High School. I come from a well-to-do family. My mother passed away when I was in my first junior high year. I am Lin. Sophia is my English name. I am 18 years old, studying in a public high school. I come from a very happy middle-class family. My father works in a bank and my mother works in a bookstore. I am the only child in the family; however, I am not the so-called spoiled child. My parents have trained me to be independent since I was a child.
    Throughout my academic years, I not only get good grades but also am very active on sport field and involved in school club activities. I play volleyball and enjoy the team spirit we have. I have joined the drama club and participated in many English speech contests. I really enjoy participating in school activities; I not only make many friends and have lots of fun but also gain many different valuable experiences.
    I had been the class English assistant for almost three years. I liked to discuss and share the experience of learning English with people a lot. We often read China Post and Time Magazine then discussed their contents, the word usages and practice speaking English by discussing the articles we read. In the beginning, we found it hard because we could rarely understand the content, but we encouraged each other not to give up. Gradually, we had made improvement. We were so excited. Thanks to my parents, I have advantages in learning English by starting at a really early age.
    My interest in English brought me to the world of English literature. I have been enchanted by this creative world, so I decide to major in English literature. My aim is to explore the world of literature and the world of great writers, opening my eyes and cultivating my mind through this great world of literature.
    Besides English literature, I also have a wide range of hobbies. I love reading, writing, music and movies. I have my active side as well. Best of the semester-3

  In Taiwan, students have to wear uniforms when they go to school. Although some students think that they look prettier when they wear casual dress, I think that it is convenient if we wear uniforms because we don’t have to spend time thinking about what we should wear before we go to school. Moreover, some students think that they will feel more comfortable if they wear casual wears. However, if we wear uniforms, we will develop a sense of belonging. When we go to school, we will feel as though we were in a big family. In addition, a student can easily be recognized when they take field trips if they wear uniforms. Due to all of these reasons, I think it is better for students to wear uniforms instead of casual wears.

  Last month, Stanley Manufacturing decided to open a factory in Acton which is a clean, quiet town. Though some people oppose that, I think that the new factory will bring some benefit effects to the town for some reasons. To begin with, opening a new factory can provide several vacancies for the residents so that they can have more choices of jobs. Second, many people will move to the town after the factory open. Once the population rises, the town may be turned into a city and develop different types of industries. Third, the residents’ incomes will increase which enables them to live a better life. What’s more, such is the enhancing of the stream of customers that the shopping district near the factory will be thriving and prosperous. For these reasons, I am in favor of opening a factory in Acton.

What’s more, Mr. Williams would not accept checks or credit cards and it was inconvenient to customers who didn't have cash on hand. Due to all of these reasons, one must conclude that the business must be slack and eventually closed down.

Supposing that you don’t go to see a doctor for a treatment, it might become a serious heart disease.
